Well that was fun

I’m really glad that we got to have a fair election before the coronation. There’s nothing like an honest press delving deeply into the details of each candidates background and positions with an even hand and an impartial tone to keep the supporters of the losing side from feeling that they’ve been ill served.  I’m thankful that we didn’t get that kind of raw deal.

One of our local restaurants offered a free drink to voters this evening and we took them up on it.  What we didn’t know was that they had prepared a special menu for the occasion.  I was sorely tempted by the McCain Health Plan (three salads on mixed greens for $5008.95 with a $5000 credit) and by the Obama Tax Plan (big enough for two but only one pays).  In the end, I chose the fish and chips while my wife picked the No Choice Nachos.  The free drinks were worth well more than what we paid for them.
